In Teh Rain…
Okay, so its raining and I can’t help but feel refreshed with my bedroom window down. If it were winter, I’d be cold and miserable; but it’s warm outside, with the pitter-patter of the rain outside mingling with the Mp3’s I’m idly playing (“Seven Nation Army” by the White Stripes, at the moment). Part of me wants to turn off the music and enjoy the sound of rain while it’s here, but…Well, not yet. I have my shirt off, my hands smell a bit bleachy by the disinfectant I use to clean stuff at work. I took my shirt off because it somehow seeps in the cigarette-smell, and I don’t smoke…Besides, it’s warm enough to comfortably sit without a shirt, right?
To be honest, I didn’t post in my blog for a few days for several reasons; but mostly because of a listlessness that’s a little hard to describe. I wanted to post in my blog, but I didn’t know what to type about. But really, that doesn’t make too much sense…Because I often make up what I put in here as I go along. I guess there’s a certain sort of mood that has to go with blogging, at least for me. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a bad mood; just a mood for typing, for elaboration on one’s life. I really wasn’t in that mood until now. The good news is that I’ll be working a lot more; which means that there’ll be a higher chance for me to drop by Otakon and enjoy myself, for once. The bad news is that in order to do so, it’ll mean that I’ll probably have to postpone my weekly Magic: the Gathering tournament for a while. It’s a little disappointing; I’ve been wanting to toss together a Greater Good deck (NO GIFTS UNGIVEN!…If you don’t know what that is, don’t worry about it. n.n; ), and have made a bit of headway last Friday. 1 Greater Good, 2 Yosei (the Morning Star), 1 Kokusho (The Evening Star), and a few other rares to go. n.n;
As it stands now, my tips will- for the most part- be placed into what I’d call the “Otaku Fund”. Really, it’s just a small bamboo box my mom got me from the Bombay Company that I’m going to stuff with cash until bursting. I ain’t gonna touch it until I absolutely know whether or not I’m going to Otakon. If I do, spiffilicious; if not, eh, I’ll either save it or find something else to excessively spend on. I guess I’m counting my chickens before they hatch; but I would really enjoy going there with enough money to do whatever the fsck I wanted. Actually, I’d like to cosplay as Paladin Alexander Andersong from Hellsing; but unless I can manage to get a really good outfit (I’m a perfectionist; sue me) for a really good price (I just started saving up money now- which is a few months before the ‘con…I ain’t giving myself much time, here), I’m probably going to go as just plain Ninshan. The last time I went, it was as Amarao from FLCL…Eh, but that was two years ago, with three other people (Crazy chixxors, at that). This time, it might just be me; maybe Goose, if his parents let him. I guess time will tell.
